Fourth Grade
As students enter fourth grade they can look forward to a year of learning and growth in all subject areas. In Social Studies the focus is on Colorado history from thousands of years ago up to the present.
Math allows students to continue to grow in their understanding of multiplication, the relationship between fractions and decimals, and diving into division. They will also be introduced to multistep word problems.
In literacy, they will explore many different genres that expose them to different types of writing styles as well. Fourth graders will be exposed to science through cross-content materials as well as having the chance to plan and develop various science experiments throughout the year.
Our goal is to have students grow into independent thinkers and take personal responsibility for their learning.
